Supporting the Royal British Legion

make a difference.jpg

Shoulder to shoulder with all who serve

The Royal British Legion has been helping the Armed Forces community since 1921. Their needs have changed but the need for our work is more vital than ever.

The Legion runs recovery centres for injured personnel; advises and supports bereaved families; gives financial help and careers advice to service leavers; provides holidays, breaks and life-long care; companionship, comradeship and practical support to serving personnel, ex-Service men and women and their dependents.

  • Half of the people helped by the Legion are below retirement age
  • This year alone the Legion will spend more than £72 million providing assistance to over 160,000 serving and ex-Serving Armed Forces personnel and their families.
  • This equates to £200,000 a day or £1.4 million a week delivering vital welfare work.

The Legion is also the nation's custodian of Remembrance; campaigns on behalf of the Armed Forces community; is one of the largest membership organisations and has 2500 branches worldwide offering comradeship and support.
