People we've helped

Kirianne CurleyKirianne Curley's husband, Royal Marine Corporal Stephen Curley of 40 Commando, was killed in an IED explosion whilst on foot patrol in Afghanistan in May 2010. He was just 26 years old. At the time of his death, the couple's son, William, was just a few weeks old.

Kirianne is using the Legion's Independent Inquest Advice service to help her through the inquest into her husband's death.

"Wearing my poppy is my time to remember my husband and my little boy's daddy.  I am proud to be involved in the Poppy Appeal, not just for me, but for all the Armed Forces widows."
