Poppy Appeal 2009
The 2009 Poppy Appeal was launched on 22 October by Dame Vera Lynn. The appeal highlights the need to support the Afghan generation of Armed Forces wounded and bereaved - now and for the rest of their lives.
The fundraising goal was set at a record-breaking £31 million and thanks to your generosity, we've reached and passed this target with the tally now past £31.5 million!
Our financial reporting year runs from 1 October to 30 September, so the 2009 Poppy Appeal is still being tallied. Watch the home page counter for the latest figures.
