Poppy Appeal 2011

The 2011 Poppy Appeal was launched on Thursday 27 October and was the culmination of our 90th anniversary year.

We set an ambitious fundraising goal of £40 million, to follow our record breaking total of £36 million raised in the 2010 Poppy Appeal.

Ways to support

There are lots of ways to support the Poppy Appeal and we've listed some of the more innovative ways on our New ways to support page.

And as usual, there are a varitey of ways you can show your support through music.

Poppy Appeal totals

Watch the counter on our home page for the latest tally. The Poppy Appeal starts in October each year and totals are calculated based on the Legion's financial year which runs from October to September.

It can take quite a bit of time for the money to flow through our large organisation  so during the first few weeks of the Poppy Appeal, official totals may appear very low.. The official final figure is not available until around May of the following year.
